Itinerary - Siem Reap, Cambodia

  Siemreap0246-pola

Unlike most of the city,  Siem Reap is definitely a place for those who wishes to explore the ancient temples, do not mind the slow pace of the town, and love the mysteries that hides behind each of the temples.
One thing you can be sure of is, this is a great destination if you are into photography. With the magnificient structures everywhere, it seems any angle will gives you a unique view of the surrounding.
As this is my first trip, I've hired a tour guide for my trip, eventhough there are mixed advices that I could just wander around by myself. Anyway, here's his contact:
John Teng - johnangkor@yahoo.com
[Highly recommended for the excellent service, able to communicate well in English, and his knowledge on the history of Cambodia is something one should not doubt of. A passionate guy about his home country, and always punctual.]
If I were to re-visit Siem Reap, I will likely to do is to bring along with me some little gifts which I can give away to the kids there. Most of the kids, at very young age trying to sell things near the tourist spots, in the hope to get more money. And most of the times, they will end up with dissapointment. But they are not pushy, and they can speak really good English, and they have really good manners. There are many those 'touching moments' which I wish I could help them in some way.

Accomodation:
Golden Temple Villa - http://www.goldentemplevilla.com/home
Highly recommended accomodation in Siem Reap. For it's cleanliness, it's good location, reasonable price, good services, good food at the cafe, free internet center with desktop provided, and cheap massage in the guesthouse. If you have chosen places like Siem Reap as your holiday destination, unlikely you are those that need a Hyatt or Hilton hotel, isn't it?
